Dual 3.5" woofers have never in this world, or any other imaginary universe equaled "bass pumping sound" such as quoted in the item description. 3.5" speakers have almost always been either crap tweeters, or crap mid bass speakers, never woofers that create Bass. I realize this is a portable speaker, but "bass pumping sound" will never, ever, be produced by 3.5" "woofers", unless they're placed in headphones, and not in a portable speaker.

So what are you saying 🤔 I want to buy one but if it is not good enough then there's no need to waste money on it.

You'll probably be fine buying this $49 portable speaker, but as someone who has experienced actual "bass pumping sound". I can tell you with 100% certainty that this speaker using dual 3.5" "woofers" will never, ever, in a million years deliver "bass pumping sound" to you. My issue is not with the product or the price, it's with the ultra misleading description. It cost way more than $49 to achieve "Bass pumping sound" 30 yrs ago, and even with technological amp power breakthroughs, the basic physics of woofer size haven't changed, and everything is way more expensive today, versus 30yrs ago. The issue I have is only with the misleading overpromises in the description of this speaker, that features two 3.5" "woofers".

I've owned this device for a couple years. It is ok. I connect it to my surface to play audio books. It works well for that, but not really great for music in my opinion. I have to JBL party boxes for that though. I am rarley around water so maybe if I were this would be good. Likely going to get a echo dot during prime day to replace current functionality on this and then maybe I'll try adding it to my TV to see how it does.

I largely agree. "Bass pumping sound" is a pretty meaningless and subjective term, so I guess it's pretty hard to argue the point. I think the closest you can get (and the closest I have personally heard) to reasonable bass out of drivers that small is something using transmission lines. You're still not getting what I would consider to be "bass pumping sound", as you said. But you can get noticeable bass from tiny drivers using that technology. With all that said - at $49 you're not acquiring any kind of fancy transmission line speaker setup. More likely a hollow plastic box and all the resonance that affords you, nothing more.

It's a good sounding speaker has good bass, but not ground shaking bass, it's a good speaker if placed against the wall when you're in doors you'll notice the difference in sound, for outside in open areas it's Ok….

For now, I use a my JBL Flip 6 and some cinch straps on my Sea-Doo. Works well but looking for something even louder. Wanna try a JBL Charge 5 but it is a bit pricey and it is bigger. May not be ideal for the handlebar with the cinch straps.
