I have never seen this game series at a serious sale price. They're always ~$20+ no matter how old they get.

I didn't purchase back then because I heard there were performance issues due to console to PC conversion, anyone have an updated experience?

Had no problems with 144hz on my 5600+6700xt. Excellent game and price

I never had any performance issues with this game, Automata had some mild issues. Not enough to ruin the game for me.

Just bought and played a bit on an ROG Ally. Performance is really weird in this game. I was getting the same or lower FPS at high settings vs low. But is playable 1080p 30+fps

Can't tell which one you're referring to by "the first game". This is the first game--or at least a remake of it. Nier: Automata was the sequel.

Still not worth it. Combat is insanely boring and tedious. Story is hard to follow and way to cheesey. You can see how this turned into the amazing game that was automata but its no where close combat wise. This is coming from someone who completed whole game and watched 3hr+ youtubes to understand this game.

Like others its a banger OST thats also a playable game Lmao.

It's a Square Enix thing. They're really adverse to discounting their big Japanese franchises—see Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest.

Nier is smaller but they're apparently working on a new one internally.

Gameplay is mid at best but the ost and story (I know this one's subjective) carry it hard. I really loved this game overall.
