Is this any good or will it start falling apart in a few months, vinyl peeling, etc?

At this price point it's absolutely "bonded leather" (aka a bunch of stuff glued together into a leather like surface), or vinyl (which could actually last), and likely has poor quality cushioning.

I'm tired of these low cost, low quality chairs. My $200 Lazyboy office chair from Costco is shot after 2 years. I'm going to shop local office furniture liquidators to find a quality used chair by Steelcase or Humanscale or similar for around $200 instead. It'll last longer.

Take it back to Costco lol. I've seen them one sale for $150 at Costco maybe once a year. Didn't pull the trigger last time but I think I should have.

It will fall apart. It's not real leather. When the bonding agent gives way it will look bad.

I don't have this model, but I do have another "bonded leather" model from office depot, the fennington series.

Rocking one at home, one at the office for about 3 years each so far, not one sign of wear or the fake leather going to hell. I'd buy with confidence again but to each their own.

This already looks like it's gonna squeak and peel.

I got a similar chair, the Realspace Treswell, in Dec 2020 and I wouldn't recommend it. I work from home so it gets a lot of use. I have a cover on it so it hasn't peeled much, but the padding is really lacking. The shape of the bottom makes me sit too far back and the back padding kind of curves around me encouraging bad posture. I had to get one of those lumbar pillows to help remedy it. The bottom padding also started to deteriorate very quickly. It is noisy too, started after just a few months of use.

This POS will peel off in no time. I remember paying $36 for it at Office Depot 8 years ago thinking it was a good deal. You get what you pay for. Even for that price it was awful. Arms started to peel within 5 months, the seat within 8 months. Went into trash soon thereafter. At $89?! Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. Search for real, NON-bonded leather. Thank me later.

This. I spent $350 on a Steelcase LeapV2 from Madison Seating. The first one arrived broken, but when I emailed customer support they sent me another one quickly, and it was fine.

Been using it for several years now, every day. I had already experienced one through my workplace, and knew that model to be exceptional.

I just bought a mesh one, I put it together yesterday it's so uncomfortable. I want to find one that reclines, back and forth like a car seat, but not a gaming chair. I'm not buying mesh again.
