This is actually a really good indoor grill, I bought it from Costco about a month ago and been very happy. We have been consistently using it around 2 to 3 times a week. The only time the smoke was too much for indoors was when we grilled a huge batch of chicken wings, that time I just moved the grill it to the deck and the wings came out amazing (btw the outside of the grill does not get hot, so easy to maneuver).

PS. I paid $100 and thought it was a great deal, for $80 this is a no-brainer.
I bought this in hopes of having a easier time cleaning as my ninja foodi gets really gross and difficult to clean the lid. While this is a lot easier to clean my ninja still greatly outperforms it. Since the heating element is on the bottom it seems to be hotter in the air gaps in the tray so I'll have charred (heating element is close to the tray versus the ninja) meats depending on if that protein is sitting in a air opening instead of an overall cook. This means I'll have burnt bits while some sides are still crisping up. I think you can avoid this is you don't overcrowd the tray, but I don't have this issue with my ninja.

Next is the smoke. I've never had issues cooking wings in my ninja, but the gourmia produced a ton of smoke where my whole apartment filled up. I thought this was a fluke so I tried ribs and same thing happened. I cook in bulk so this might be an issue with too much food, but once again I didn't have this issue with my ninja. I cleaned between cooks so this wasn't any issue with carry over.

I will say it is very quiet which is nice. Overall pretty disappointed as I was looking forward to something that was easier to clean and being able to see my meats cook in real time.

Thanks for the insight. Does this have a built in vent that sucks up the smoke similar to most cooktops? How well does that work? My cooktop vent is terrible lol

I had the first generation...(gga2120). I wish it had a probe, but I'm gonna upgrade to this one.

Thanks for the review! 🙂👍

I have it, use it 3 time a week to cook steak, very easy to use, just need to flip the steak once, and we got a beautiful steak

The grill pan and the tray needs to be washed after use

Somewhere in it still smells I could not figure where, maybe the fan or filter I think
