Creality K1 3D Printer

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS. They don't honor their return policy and provide no after-sale support. I've seen this printer on sale for $390 from elsewhere recently, so there's no rush. You've been warned.

I print as a hobby dude. I'm not running a farm. For me, getting things like adaptive meshing and adaptive purge running is fun, my K1 only runs a bed mesh in the area that will be used to print. I don't have to wait for the entire mesh before my prints like on my P1P. I also get to try different nozzles and hotends to see how high I can get my volumetric flow, which the all-in-one non-removable nozzle hotends of the P1P do not allow. And let's not forget my K1 has Exclude Object so I don't need to watch a big print go off the rails because one item on the plate messed up, a feature Bambu won't give to P1P and P1S owners, X1 only. I changed the start-print macro to purge my oldest son's initials on the plate instead of a line. He thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Like I have a demanding job, I have three young boys, I don't have many hobbies, so this is something I can do with my boys and tinker on and we all enjoy it. I said straight up if you're new and don't want to tinker get a Bambu. I do love my P1P. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours on it and have done one hotend replacement and I can count the failures on one hand. But that isn't interesting, it's utilitarian. We all look for different things in our purchases dude.
I have an SV-06, SV-07, K1, and P1P.. and yes, my K1 has the best print quality and is the fastest. Consistently. And I am sure I will mess it up soon because emy oldest boy and I are going to install carbon linear rods on the X, change the idlers to toothed idlers, install a Knomi on the toolhead, and add leveling screw since there is no good way to tram the K1. But if we mess it up we will fix it. I'm just glad we CAN do all those things, certainly not doing it on a Bambu.
Man, this place is toxic AF these days.

Save your money and get a Bambu printer instead. They're selling this at this price for a reason
