Thanks OP but I've seen 16 oz pasta at the grocery store with regular sales, in many of the same shapes.I'll be passing but maybe someone will find this to save a few pennies.

Yeah! It's the cheapest I've been able to find.

They are also one of the few alphabet noodle brands there. Great for soups.
I find in my experience if you have leftovers this pasta absorbs an outrageous amount of liquid compared to other Italian pasta and grows like 5x larger if left overnight in the fridge.

Huh?
Appealing to the left-wingers with inclusivity buzz words. And enriched just means fake supplements that make you fat, but... but it's free of gmos, lol.

I like this pasta, and so do the grandkids. I especially like it in soup. I always cook it separately, then add it to a bowl and pour over the hot soup. I also refrigerate the cooked noodles separately from the soup. I like the smaller packaging. I don't need a whole pound of pasta for only 2 or 3 people... takes up a lot less storage space, too. I actually don't like Barilla anymore. It's not as good as it used to be. IMHO

Quick recipe (my mom's way, understanding that Mexico has a thousand tacos because it has a thousand cities and every city has it's own recipe)
Use a 12 inch pan that has a cover. Add a couple of tablespoons of oil (your choice) to the pan. Open the 7 oz bag and throw the pasta in the pan. Fry it stirring frequently. When the pasta is toasted to a nice golden brown (about the color of french fries) add 4 cups of water (but don't have your hand over the pan because of the sudden steam coming up). Add half a can of tomato sauce (if you want it light) or the whole can (if you want it heavy). I usually pour the other half of a can into a ziplock bag for later use...just cut the corner and squeeze it out like a pastry bag. Add a tablespoon of Knorr's chicken flavor bouillon and stir. Turn down the heat to a simmer and cover. It will be ready when the pasta has expanded (about 15 minutes). The elevation and humidity of your city determines the evaporation rate so adjust the water at the beginning accordingly.
One 7 oz bag of Mexican pasta
4 cups of water
half an 8oz can of tomato sauce (the whole can if you want it heavy)
one tablespoon of Knorr's chicken flavor bouillon
(by the way: it's the same recipe for making Mexican Rice except that rice will take about 10 minutes more to expand)

Confused

"Enriched" just implies certain nutrients were removed in the processing of the item and added back before packaging.

Where did you read that they are "fake supplements that make you fat"? Confused
