Not exactly but it gets close. 6800xt draws more power and has a different die. You can get an additional ~10% increase with OC the 6800 but the 6800xt is about 15% faster so it cannot be stable OC to match. The 6800 is a great card and if you can find a 6800xt under $450, that would be better deal.
Is 7800 xt for $499 better deal?

we're waiting for you on the red side (I switched as well from a 1080ti).
the amd adrenaline software is pretty decent. I prefer the classic look of nvidias, but once you get a hang of amds it has everything (video recording, streaming, screenshots)..it's basically like GeForce experience.
i don't take "sides" I just go with whoever has the best price to performance

Well I have to say that the adrenaline software causes more crashes than you'll ever have in your life I mean literally maybe the worst drivers you've ever encountered

I only have one problem with Adrenaline with my RX 570 & 590 dual setup. Every time there is an update it resets the custom tuning settings so the Zero RPM feature gets enabled and my pc BSOD's after a while. I have to go in and turn that off after every update.

nope. This isn't my first time on amd..I had a 1650xt, r9 390x.
I don't get any crashes, don't spread nonsense
