As a frequent traveler, I can provide some feedback. First, packing cubes are great to organize your suitcase. You can quickly unpack, repack. And you can go from hotel to hotel without hassle.
If you travel a few times a year, it is worth having packing cubes.
When buying packing cubes, you want sturdy canvas fabric. Because cheap canvas will quickly fray. Double stitching and a binding (piece of fabric that covers the join to preview fraying) is important for durability.
Nets are the best way to allow the contents to air out/breathe. It also lets you view the contents. More net is better. When you see clear/frosted plastic to let you view, then check its thickness. Personally, I think of frosted and clear plastic as cheap and not durable. It will crack or tends to be very thin.
You should always have double stitching along all joints. The strength of these joints are what holds it together and lets you stuff the cubes. The stitching should not be loose. If you can pick at a stitch and it lifts up, that is not a good stitching. Compare that to your clothing... if you had a loose stitching then you know your clothes are going to fall apart.
If you travel once a year, then cheap packing cubes may last you 2-4 years. If you travel a few times a year then cheap packing cubes won't last more than a year before it starts falling apart.
I have eBags packing cubes that I have used on and off for 10 years. They are expensive. And I think you can probably find good quality for about half the price of eBags' list. But if you just want to get it over with and want something that will last, go with a brand like eBags.
I have never tried Veken. But I have recently bought some cheap packing bags from Amazon. One set is very lightweight and I expect will fray (though their name had Gorilla in it so I thought they would be heavier duty). Another is heavier and much better canvas but with loose stitching.
Packing cubes are very useful for travel. Good luck!
