This deal is ridiculous and it seems to be on several Samsung Ranges. If you buy a Samsung Range like the one in this link, you get a free Hood. Some of these hoods run for $1000. You also get something called a backguard for free which I think is a design enhancer for the range. This deal seems to be on several Samsung ranges that have the knobs in the front (called Slide-in ranges on the site). Scroll to the middle of the page and you will see the option to add a free Smart Hood.

Are the hood ductless? Currently have a overhead microwave. Can I replace the microwave for the hood instead?

The cfms on this one seem higher than any other one I could find. Plus this looks way nicer, lol. I need a range anyway and I'll take this free Hood any day. I also read that this thing turns on automatically when you turn on the fire! My mom would lose it if she heard that.

Samsung appliances have a lot of modern features but a lot of reliability issues. Normally against extended warranties but for Samsung appliances they're probably worth it.

Just asked my friend about this - he said you can buy a recirculation kit that will just make it ductless. Not sure if you buy it from Samsung or Amazon. I thi k you could probably find it for this model.

I just searched. Search through all ranges and Go to the product filters at top and sort by range type and then slide in ranges. I found most of them are coming with the deal.

If you can highly recommend installing the duct work. Will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We had a recirculating hood in our apartment and don't cook with a lot of oil but every several months there would be a layer of thick grease above the cabinets.

It's fairly easy to install if you have an adjacent outdoor wall or if there isn't a 2nd story above your kitchen
