That's funny - for me, non-touchscreen is a feature.
To each his own, but I think touchscreen sucks. It just gets my laptop, looking messy, and the trackpad and gestures are good enough. And any touchscreen will suck up more battery, and generally have more glare in the sunlight.
I agree that it is very useful but for a productivity machine I'd prefer not. No fingerprints and a thinner and lighter device.

I am looking to buy a laptop for a friend of mine who does Autocad and 3D rendering work. Is this machine OK for that? TIA.
I'd look for something that has a dedicated graphics card for rendering. Any Ryzen or Nvidia GPU laptop.

Would definitely get this if this had USB-C charging. Just that e-waste from big charging bricks.
LG gram uses USB c charging. where are you getting the information from?

Debating between the 2021 model (i7-1195G7, 16GB/1TB SSD) from Buydig for $720 or this 2023 model from Bestbuy (i7-1360P, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) for $1000.

Any advice on whether it's worth ~$300 more to get this new model? thx

Does anyone actually have this and can they confirm you are only able to get 100 Mbps with an ethernet cord?

Also, any feedback if I'm using this primarily for zoom meetings? Am an ASL interpreter and need no lag on my hands.

I was planning on buying this until I went to microcenter to look at it. i feel like i could break this accidentally VERY easy. great for the weight but probably not a good idea for a clumsy guy like me.

i know it's not an apples to apples comparison, but started looking at mini PCs and it seems like it would be hard to get these same specs in a mini PC for much different pricing. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a mini PC deal (fully assembled)?

Do you guys recommend LG? Need had one
I don't have this exact model. I have the previous version. I came from typically dell laptops. I am super impressed with it. It's so lightweight. I added a 2tb nmve it was pretty simple.

I have the one with the 11th Gen CPU bought refurbed from Buydig for $550 with 2 year warranty. Have been using it for almost 9 months and outside of preferring Lenovo's keyboard that's on the Legion Pro 5, unless I'm gaming, I always use the Gram. Love it! If I was in the need for another one, with these updated specs for a grand, definitely not a bad deal.

for real?

that's like comparing a dog to a zebra and asking what's the difference.. the Vivobook weighs 2x more than the Gram lol

if weight isn't an issue I'd go for a MacBook Pro.. since weight is an issue for me options are limited.. mainly either the Gram or a Samsung GalaxyBook
