Regardless of it being free on cable or On Demand, there are some that don't have cable nor On Demand available to them. I do have cable and still own this as it looks great in 4K and hate commercials. To each their own, but just because it's on cable doesn't mean people want to sit through all the commercials.

By paying $8.50 you can get the movie over with in 90 minutes rather than watching the ads.
