i just bought this to change my air filters and some higher shelves. if you plan on using it FOR ANYTHING ELSE this is NOT the ladder for you. It's plastic and does not feel safe.

I saw an all metal version at costco for $5-7 more. get that.
I'd have to disagree with you. I have the same one (from back in the golden age a couple years ago when it was slick for $10) and it feels plenty sturdy.
I'm not going to do plyometrics workouts on it but I've done SEVERAL OTHER THINGS besides stand on it to change a filter.
That being said, it's solid but nothing special. Didn't think it was slick for $25 but decent for $20 if that's the best you can do these days.
This isn't a ladder. It's a step up (no pun intended) from a simple stool. Get it for the people that like to use chairs just because they're convenient. I got one of these for the MIL for Xmas a few years ago because she was one of those chair people. I have something similar to this on each level of my home so there's no excuse for stacking shit to climb on only to fall and get hurt.

It says steel. If this is the same one I bought, (I think it is), the steps are plastic but my 300lb hubby has no issues on it. I worried at first but he uses it all the time.

So I dunno what made you feel unsafe, but if it is the same one, you should be fine.

Received mine today. Steps are plastic (assuming they have different versions, since others have said steps are metal). I bought it so that we wouldn't use chairs and stools to reach higher places (cabinets, shelves, curtains, HVAC filters) and it works fine for that (i.e., better than a chair or stool). For anything else, you probably want to stay away. As others mentioned, it's surprisingly heavy.

At $20 (in today's dollars), it's an OK buy but I wouldn't pay more for it.

Got this for $8.88 10 years ago. I'd hold out until inflation drops.
You'll have a better chance winning the lottery than inflation dropping

I has this and don't recommend it. It is heavy to lug around and joints at the tip of the "A" frame that connects the legs are plastic and flimsy. Doesn't not feet safe. Plus like what others mentioned the steel tubes rusts quickly and the steps are plastic.

I actually looked up my purchase when this was $9 and was hoping to get another one only to see it was now on sale for $20. Super handy, can't go back in time but should have bought two
