Note that rectangular tip you see in the photo is NOT USB-C. It looks like the tip used on some Lenovo Thinkpads from the early 2010's (before they switched to USB-C).

I was just posting same; you beat me to it by 30 seconds. I hope nobody is paying their $67.99 list price. Ouch!

I was trying to attach a photo of the tips with descriptions and compatibility, but it wouldn't upload. It's in one of the reviews on Targus' website linked by deelseaker above.

Thanks for posting this. This is so tempting at such low price. I have a family member who needs a replacement charger for their Dell laptop of a recent vintage. I want to recommend it to them, but there is no way to know whether any of the tips will actually fit. They probably should...

Thanks...Targus is generally high quality stuff. If my old charger was bad and none of these tips fit, I'd rob the cord/plug off of it to use with this one. But I'm guessing if that laptop has a barrel style connector, one of these will fit.

I don't understand how this is universal. Do all laptops use the same voltage charger?! I have seen variable voltage chargers before but there's usually some sort of voltage attenuation switch. Anyone know what the voltage specs are for this?

Most laptops with barrel style plugs take a 19V DC charger, which I'm reasonably sure that this is. There's a lot of data on the web to help you along, including 1200+ reviews and many questions answered on Best Buy's website, which I'll link below.

I just found a photo of one of these on eBay showing the data plate. It's 19.5VDC and 4.62A.

Search 204207889909 on eBay if you want to have a look.

There are a lot of laptops out there that are several years old and still in service, and this charger will fit many of them. Targus makes a newer model USB-C laptop charger as well, for those who need that option.

Secondipity sells a lot of overstock merchandise from major retailers. Sometimes they drop the ball, but they're quick to make it right with a phone call. I've made several major deal scores with them, and will buy from them again. Some of their prices are ridiculously low.

Thanks!! All of my HPs take in 19.5V. However, my Gateway laptop takes 19V. Any EE majors that can opine on how 0.5V affects the PC's charging circuitry? in other words, will 19.5V cause any damage when plugged into the charging port rated at 19V?

Most power circuits have an input tolerance of at least plus or minus 5%, or roughly 1V in this case. Half a volt one way or the other is negligible. If you plug in 5 new 19V chargers, you'll likely get a get a slightly different voltage out of all 5.
