Modal is semi-synthetic, originating from beech trees. It might not breathe as well as cotton, but it's far superior in that regard to nylon and polyester. Modal is extremely soft, retains it's shape much better than cotton, and is very durable. I have modal boxers a decade old that are as good as new.

Modal is rayon, doesn't breathe like cotton. Never use synthetic fibers on your balls, unless you don't want to get anyone pregnant 😅

We're done with kids so maybe that's another benefit 🙂 I've always stuck with cotton but there are a few highly rated modal boxers out there.
