I picked up the following configuration, as I wanted 16GBof RAM and didn't want to hassle with buying the extra elsewhere:
Dell OptiPlex 5070 Small Form Factor, 1x Intel Core i5 6 Core (i5-9500) 3.00 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, No Optical, Intel Integrated Graphics, Windows 10 Professional
Order Subtotal $419.00
Promo Code: (MERRY2023) $188.55
Total Promo Discount $188.55
Tax $23.62
GRAND TOTAL $254.07
9/10 of A grade are good laptops with a good battery(90% Health) .
I paid $30 more, it well worth it, didn't even need to buy the 1 yr warranty.
Grade B is 50/50 roll of the dice for good laptop. These make spares or DIY gifts
Luckily dell warranty will supply the parts most of the time.

The OP only posts these Dell "deals" so probably in Dell's sales department or part of SD.
And in this price, even with coupon, I still feel like it's super over priced.
The workstation GPU were released in 2017.
Fun fact, GTX 1080Ti was released in 2017. There wasn't even the RTX stuff that we all see today.
On another hand, if your work requires a Quadro, go buy one that's not this old.
Dell put the year 2017 Quadro with a 4 cores CPU together to get you a lot of waiting time at work.
And Who in the right mind would go buy a 6cores 6 thread i5 or 8 cores 8 threads i7 today?
The two generations ago, crappy i5-12400 would beat all these 14nm++++++++++ CPU.
Now think about it, I still dont know why Intel would put a MBA guy to be the CEO seat to lead a tech company.
Dell is so good at trading e-trash for cash. So smart.
The I5-12400 by itself just the CPU costs more than these systems. And for MOST people modern computers are massive overkill.
The GPU alone is worth $500 - $700 if I were to turn around and sell it, and probably will retain most of that value (or maybe even increase) for a year or two due to the need for machine learning GPUs.(especially with such a low power draw like this one, 70watts!) The workstation has features like "hot-swap" hard drives and power supplies that you can pull out and push back in with ease, and a ton of open ram and PCI slots, from what I understand.
Even though the RAM configuration may be limited to DDR4 speeds (I assume), and the CPU isn't the latest and greatest, I still think this is one of the slickest deals I've ever gotten. It's like I bought a highly capable 3D rendering and machine learning GPU for $680 - and they threw in all the other parts to make it work, and work well, for next to nothing + assembled it for me. (Basing that on all the listings around the WWW for standalone 12GB A2000 GPUs)
my guess is the laptops are better at Grade A, because some people don't respect property. the Desktop Grade B was excellent, i am typing on it now. there was a small mark on the back from moving it or whatever, but so far fine. they even cleaned the inside of it but doubt anything more was done.
normally i would order Grade A, but the Grade B was all they had on the desktop. maybe desktops are worth the gamble; the package came in well foamed up for the travel from Tennessee. surprise they threw in a nice keyboard and mouse brand new too.
most of us do not need new computers, with Dell's 8the generation Lattitudes and optiplex's you are good to go with Windows 11. we also are saving the landfill issues with junk; thank you Dell.
agree. all the Dell's i bought this year are more than i will ever need. those who need high end computers are not on this thread anyway; they know what they need and buy new.
the desktop i just got is replacing a 13 year old Acer that wont upgrade to Windows 11, got it Grade B and a fine machine. same with my laptops, a fraction of new price and great condition A machines.
try it, if you don't like it send it back and dump a Truck load of cash on something you don't need. the rest of us, not so much. we like slick deals and Dell understands that. quick delivery, what is not to like?
blessings.

I mean I have a high end Legion 5 Pro laptop with a big bad ass CPU and GPU etc etc. But the $140 desktop I bought from this deal is going to be perfect for my employees for listing products on our Amazon business. Absolutely perfect.

Do you have examples of boxes with at least two Intel NICs that also have driver support from the manufacturer?
But I will say you can get better deals on eBay. I just picked up a pair of the HP equivalent of these. HP Prodesk 400 G6 with an i5-9500, 16GB of ram, 256GB SSD and Windows 11 pro for $190 each with free shipping.
Just need something for basic web browsing, word processing, and and to play Roblox on for a preteen. ~$200 range

good question on reliability. my main computer was a floor model Acer desktop when Costco was dumping them; got it for half price and have been using it for 13 years.
is 13 years long enuf?
well i will use it longer, but Windows 11 isn't going to run without Rufus adaptation, so it becomes more of a backup or storage computer. for banking or security, you always want the latest operating system for various reasons. Rufus is good but i wouldn't depend on it for secure stuff. get the Dell 8th generation i5 machines that will upgrade to Win 11: done.
these Dell machines usually are a cut above consumer grade and as Refurbs are very cheap. i have never had a problem with them but some people do. computers should always be run on UPS power systems and the plugs pulled during thunder storms. most people don't bother, but many people keep buying computers wondering why there stuff keeps smoking. oh well happens and shouldn't.
for $150 bucks this stuff is worth the gamble, they were used in offices where the management wanted reliability, so probably didn't kick them around. my Condition A stuff is fabulous, and my Desktop Condition B is better than expected. guess it depends on how well you are willing to take a chance on things.
better than a new unit? well some people can destroy a good new car in months, so no guarantee when it comes to people. they tend to do 'things'.
yeah they are great, especially if you get the ones that upgrade to Windows 11.
ram is cheap and so are SSD's so i upgrade that first and have a spare SSD C drive as a backup.
as you say, a durable business laptop for $140 is chicken feed, and most of these machines do way more than people need by a country mile. Dell refurb laptops are easy to work on by just popping the screws off the back. i learned to repair laptops by working on these things; YouTube is filled on ways to do this.
for now, buying New Computers for me is a Colossal waste of money. but some people have piles of money i suppose and it really doesn't matter; they don't read these threads though.
