Yeah maybe with other brands, but you should probably do some research on this specific brand and model of subs before jumping to that conclusion to understand that will most-likely not be the case with these. Even if there was a chance of it happening, their CS has been lauded by many. It's a sub-$500 (pun intended) sub that punches above its weight class.

RSL makes excellent products. The Speedwoofer is excellent. I installed two in my friends HT replacing entry level SVS subs. There was no comparison. The 10S may not go the lowest, but it moves air and is tactile sharp. 3 years going, no problems.
