I absolutely wouldnt buy this unless you need a GPU right now, as the Nvidia Super refresh that just launched will force AMD to lower prices in the next couple of weeks.

I'm with you on seeing how Nvidia's new releases will affect pricing.
But, remember that Nvidia's new GPUs might not actually retail at MSRP. And Nvidia is retiring the 4070 Ti, essentially leaving a gap between the $600–800 MSRPs.
Additionally, AMD has been known to temporarily decrease prices right before Nvidia's new releases to take the steam away from Nvidia's launch-day sales. So, there's a chance these prices will climb back up to $750.
Not trying to stir the pot or anything.

AMD and Nvidia always do this to take the wind out of each other's launch-day sales. (Temporary sharp price decrease right before launch day.) Hopefully, Nvidia's value proposition with the Super GPUs will make this change permanent. But Nvidia is leaving an awkward gap between $600–800, which where the RX 7900 XT will likely fall.
