Grey Market product.

This Tamron lens is a well reviewed fast wide-normal zoom range piece of glass. The sale price is about the same price as I've seen it listed used at the typical online electronics resellers.

Ideal for travel photography, the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD is an advanced all-in-one zoom characterized by its wide to medium-telephoto range and its bright maximum aperture. Designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, this lens has a mixture of versatility and speed that makes it an ideal choice for photographing beautiful vistas, distinctive architecture, notable street-scenes, and more. Boasting a maximum wide-open aperture of f/2-2.8 means you can comfortably photograph in available light conditions while also controlling depth of field and isolating your subject matter with selective focus. Also, complementing the focal length range and bright design is a VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) autofocus system that provides quick, quiet, and precise autofocus to suit both stills and video applications.

E-Mount Lens/Full-Frame Format
Maximum Aperture Range: f/2-2.8
VXD Linear Motor Focus Mechanism
Tamron Lens Utility Connector Port

I used to think they are a good vendor. Do they pressure you into buying their crappy accessories?

Did anybody buy and receive this lens from Abe's ?
It's still at $1245. What are the odds we can actually receive the lens at this price ? :-)

What is the issue with it being "grey market"? I'm assuming there are some implications/issues as this was mentioned a few times.

The countdown seems to be bogus. It's showing 24 hours counting down right now.

Yes. After you place your order, they call you, and start pressuring you to buy their shitty accessories at a "discount". They act all friendly and pretend they're doing you a service by throwing in a "complimentary" UV filter that they probably bought in bulk from alibaba for 5 cents a piece.

Oh and god forbid you cancel your order after questioning whether or not it's worth buying a gray market item with no warranty. The same guy will call you back with a completely different tone and start lecturing you about how terrible it is to toss his "generosity" and "kindness" away by cancelling the order. He'll start demanding reasons why you're cancelling the order then end the call with a "have a terrible day".

I don't care how much you're saving with these a-holes. It's not worth the worst customer service I've dealt with in my life.

no warranty as you're not buying from an authorized retailer. If it craps out on you after a week, you've pretty much paid for an expensive paperweight.

In addition, I think they won't even take your money to repair the lens if it's gray market.
