It's a bummer that they sell this as an idea of "stepping up " your coffee game and have no temperature control whatsoever.
This is very good for cooking or to prepare some types of tea out there. But not even close to be useful for coffee. Your daily coffee maker is better suited than this for that.

If you do not need to set your water to a certain temperature, I can confirm the Gooseneck models are excellent. I have the Melior with the cork handle and used it multiple times a day for a year with no issue before I upgraded to a Fellow. I still keep this one to take on vacations, I don't see it dying any time soon.

Shouldn't the temp hit 200F for coffee? Why wouldn't they lift the temp it can reach (at least for the 1st link)

Would you recommend any kettle for coffee making?

Yep. Temperature control is needed for quality coffee and tea flavor.
Better yet, stop wasting money on keurig pods and spend it on a quality coffee machine. Less waste.

Pour over instructions aren't as critical as you make it:

Saturate the grounds with water right off the boil (about 205°F). Use just enough water to cover the grounds. Let it bloom for 15 seconds. Coffee de-gasses or "blooms" when it's fresh–the coffee bed should raise up and bubble a bit.

Rest of the instructions from Stumptown can be found here, but if you really need temp control, spent $8 on an instant read thermometer.

Wow... I was going to suggest the bonavita gooseneck kettle. Its amazing and works great and you can set it to just about any temp you want. Only reason why I'm saying wow is because I paid $50 for it a little over 4 years ago according to my amazon history and its now $120 so its hard for me to recommend it at that price point. I'm sure there are other options out there for much less.

Take this with a grain of salt because after 2 years using it, I am back to the bonavita, but while it worked well, I kinda liked this knock-off stagg kettle:

I'd double check it occasionally with a quick read thermometer as ultimately it just got inaccurate, but the feature set and ease of operation was really nice while it lasted.

Wait what? Really? Isn't this the same as boiling water? I use a bodum pour over and put boiling water in it with steel filter. Am I making coffee wrong?

I think it supposed to be a little lower than boiling. But I really wonder how many people can tell the difference. I end up putting milk and sugar in it anyway.

I've used this kettle daily for 2.5 years now. Only negative is the cork for the top gets loose periodically.

I thought about getting a gooseneck kettle for my coffee pourovers. But it wasn't worth giving up my existing electric kettle, which has both higher capacity and temperature control.

I found I could get comparable results to a gooseneck kettle by simply decanting the water into a Hario V60 "Air Drip" Kettle and using that to pour:
https://www.amazon.com/Hario-V60-...087C156HM/

The temperature loss from decanting is really not bad if you expend an extra 100-200mls first to preheat the vessel. I use that same "pre-heat" water to rinse the V60 paper filter and pre-heat the carafe as well, so nothing is wasted.

You gave me a puzzle! I've traveled a bit and was always surprised how "outstanding beans" grown locally and "coffee culture" don't go hand-in-hand! (talking to you, Brasil). The only country that is close to satisfying both in my mind is Costa Rica - am I right?
