Features:
  • The whole cat tree can be and needed to be secured to the ceiling with the tension rod, the height is adjustable from 89 to 99 inches, easily adapting to most houses.
  • Give your kitty a challenging, fun place in which to play, meanwhile allowing them to get adequate exercise.

I've owned one of these for years, it's actually decent and the cats love to climb it. One of my cats used to weigh 14 pounds, and the ceiling mount had no problems keeping it solid while he climbed/flew up it. It's a great way for them to get to a high window to look outside. I think it was $30 when I got it, but that's been many years ago.
Between the ancient house that has undergone a bargain basement of a remodel rental I'm in and the fact I have a one shared brain cell monstrosity of 13+ pound kitten that has no cognitive realization of his size and lack of grace this is a disaster waiting to happen.
He would disagree and think this is a wonderful invention to help him finally catch the lady beetle that haunts his every move from the ceiling just out of reach of his current perch.
Based on my attempt to hang curtains only to find nearly all the drywall is spongy, I foresee a javelin flying through the ceiling with or without aforementioned cat attached to it.

Is he orange? I just got a giant orange kitten that fits this description perfectly. I've had a lot of cats but never an orange one, holy cow what an ungraceful spastic animal. And has a parakeet brain.

Yes he is. The joke is all orange cats share 1 brain cell between them all. They don't always have access to it.
At his first vet visit I actually asked her if I should be concerned that he NEVER landed on his feet. On his side, on his back, anything but his feet. She was perplexed and had never heard of that. At 10 months he's now better at landing on his feet but still a brainless oaf.

They're 10.5" x 17" on mine, but it's over 10 years old. Things may have changed a bit since then.

They're big enough for adult (even chonky) cats to like to lounge and play on.

You are hilarious 😂. I don't know if you are a comedian or writer, but you definitely should be! Most entertaining comment I have read to date! Thanks for cracking me up Smilie

I had one of these. It definitely didn't last years . I got about a year, maybe a little more, out of it. It's not bad for the price. But what' ends ups happening is as the cats run up and down it it begins to loosen. So you have to frequently tighten it again. No big deal. But eventually after they also scratch the hell out of it, it becomes kind of a rickety jumbled mess.

This soudns about right. it's made in china, Hanzhou is on the bottom label underneath the wood but everything seems decent and not utterly garbo.

I could only fit one PCB tube and it took some effort to get it to max height holding it down while on the chair but it seems table enough but I do think it'll shift when these two get to running around on it.

Yeah, it's not a bad product. If you get 2 years moderate to heavy use out of it, consider yourself lucky. I actually bought one and when it eventually got too worn maybe a year later I replaced it with another one. Cats got a lot of use out of it. People should just be realistic about what kind of product a person gets at this price. I'd consider it kind of a disposable cat tree.

Anyone have a recommendation for something that's a very high quality version of this kind of thing? Not necessarily the best but something that's more of an investment.

Considering getting another one of these cheap ones to have in the living room and my office since those are the two main areas where there are windows.
