Such a good game. Worth full price. A steal at $4.
it's kind of a walking simulator. You play it for the story. But that under sells it. The art and the story are top-notch.
My personal pick for GOTY back in 2016, need to go back and replay this.

The main character is voiced by the narrator of the Project Hail Mary audio book, Ray Porter, if that means anything to you Wink He's fantastic

I do not like his voice at all. I guess I need to buy the print copy...and stay away from this game unfortunately.

The main character is voiced by Rich Sommer. Probably best known as Harry Crane in Mad Men.

Played it once, for free, on gamepass way back. It was worth the play, but not the price tag for me. On a sale like this, I'd say check it out if you don't have a back log as long as your lifespan yet.

Any difference(s) between PS4 version and PC/Steam version?

I wanted to like it on PC/Steam so much, but just couldn't get into it.

Thought it might be control-related?

And kinda wondering if I might like it better on PS4.

(esp. at this price, lol)

What Remains of Edith Finch and Oxenfree to an extent, closer to the former I'd say.
What remains was really good 👍

Firewatch is in a class all its own. A walking sim with solid characters and amazing voice acting. The voice actors spent approximately two years recording their lines (while working other jobs and recording Firewatch on nights/days off). It is an indie passion project that shows what artists who care about their audience can do with limited resources. Although the story is only four hours, I remember those four hours more clearly than hundreds of hours spent in many AAA games.

Firewatch has left a big impact on me as well. While I do agree that the game is technically a class on its own, it's also very hard to compare it to another title and I used those two as an example of "If you like those games then you'll like Firewatch way way more" if that makes sense. Probably did a bad job explaining it.
