I don't have this yet but I ordered one. I have a drawer with a half dozen Sofirn lights (SC33, SC21, SC18 and a few small ones in cars). They're universally well built and the SP36 Pro is well reviewed. Compared to similarly priced lights from home depot, etc -- these things are incredible value for the money.

I have this light. It is a great light. I have several Sofirn lights and have never had any warranty issues with them. The only complaint I have is with their funky switch. Half the time I can't turn on their lights without pulling out the manual or messing with the switch for a minute or two to get it to turn on. There is nothing wrong with the switch per se but it is their implementation of how it works. They have different patterns you need to use to turn these on and sometimes the higher functions are so hidden you can't do it without the manual or by luck. Make no mistake, these are well built and I really really like them, but the switch implementation sucks. I would never rely on these in an emergency situation when you don't have time to be fumbling around in the dark trying to turn the stupid thing on.

I own it, I like it, but as others have said the switch is complicated. I am used to lights that are on/off or low/medium/high when you push the switch. This light is complex and I don't have the energy or desire to learn how a flashlight firmware is programmed.

I also find this light overkill for most tasks around the house. It's big and it's heavy compared to a single 18650 or 21700 cell light which I tend to reach for more often.

I have the BLF SP36 loved it had it ~6months an one day it just wouldn't turn on, now I want a 16k lumen one, but idk if I should spend 80-100$...

If interested buy it. I have this one and the non pro versions. If you can get the non pro for a better price you would be happy, otherwise get this one. It is a conversation starter and very useful. I think it will stay on for over a month on the lowest setting. The battery life is amazing. The brightest setting is like sunshine. It is very heavy and should not be a carry flashlight unless by belt loop case.

I've had one for about a year. It's very bright, well built and overall I love it.

I only wish it had a slightly tighter beam pattern.

Got the non-Pro version @ 5k lumens and it's a very good flashlight. Like others have said, it is on the heavy side for pocket carry and the button patterns are a little difficult - but on/off usage is fine - and holding the button changes intensity(if I recall). Although, at the highest intensities, the light end can get very warm to the touch.

Depends on how much you trust your dog, but yeah I don't think the average dog owner needs 8k lumens for night poops. If you're looking for something under $20, the Sofirn SC18 is $18 with battery shipped from the US (so you might actually get it some time in the next month)

I bought the Wurkkos WK03 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9WB5LFD) for this very reason. Slightly over $20. I put the included diffuser on the end and clip it onto my pocket. The low setting is enough for cars to see me well in advance and is just enough for me to see where I'm stepping/pick up what I don't want to step on. If I need to figure out what owns the glowy eyes off in the distance then I can just pop off the diffuser and two clicks into turbo.
