6nm -> 4nm, both 28w tdp. About 10% processor and graphics increase. This has the 740m iGPU compared to the 660m.

Even though they were both 7xxx, the 7540 is zen 4 and the 7535 is zen 3.

Edit: I like researching this stuff, so. Single core in geekbench 6 on the 7540 is 26% higher, while multi is only 5% higher. Most people using low voltage processors aren't doing heavy multi-core workloads, so this would be much faster in day to day use.
I have an HP Pavilion almost 5 years old & works just fine.

What's the difference between this CPU and the 7535U?

Spoke too soon. That one has a worse screen and it's 60Hz.

Real life battery test anywhere? Google was giving results like 'poor' and 'fair'. Looking for something for school work.

This link is for the faster processor unit with OLED screen (scroll all the way to the bottom-ish). This one on sale here could only be better, probably by quite a bit.

Not really, the one in the review has a 68Wh battery while OP only has 51Wh.
I would expect battery life to be very unimpressive.
Otherwise seems like a great laptop for the price.

Does HP have charge limiting feature on this? So you can set the laptop to not charge the battery higher than 80% to prevent battery swelling? (ie if you like to leave this on your desk plugged in and on a lot of the time)
