If you scroll even further down, it says only one display can be shown at a time lol not sure why they label it as a splitter if that's the case.
This is a switch not a splitter.
I don't believe this ist the fault of the switch but rather the OS and the RDP software. To overcome this I personally purchased a dummy plug to mimic a monitor always plugged in. You don't mention which OS but you could try a software fix such as this:

No personal experience but showed up in a quick Google search. Hopefully this helps!

Can anyone please confirm that it gives 4k@60hz to either HDMI input?

No they don't, at least not how you think of it. Read their definition of what the 1 in 2 out and 2 in 1 out means
Yes as others have pointed out it's not a splitter. I guess when I read splitter, I took that to mean it was a splitter. That's where I fouled up. E me.

It does -- I bought this exact item last month for more than this and waited for shipping from China, because so very many of these only do 4k60 to one port.

This 100% does 4k60 in any and all combinations and directions

This might be a very edge use case, but I'll add my experience anyways. I use this with both an HTPC and my PS5. If the PS5 input is active, I cannot remote desktop into the HTPC (with RDP, Teamviewer, or Anydesk). Something to do with how the display input is blocked. It's incredibly frustrating and if I knew this ahead of time I wouldn't have bought this. Although it's possible this would happen with any display switch, I cannot say.
You can get around the issue by buying a dummy monitor dongle on Amazon

(This is for example, please do your quality/review research)
or try this for a Virtual monitor setup

Does this HDMI switch backfeed power to the motherboard when the PC is powered off?

As much time as I wasted returning similar items, it's my civic duty. Happy to help 🙏

I've been using the 5 in 1 Ugreen switch with remote control. Seems to work alright but HDMI- HDCP isn't that easy to begin with. The source has to be awake for one thing or it might take awhile to switch.

All of these cheap switchers sold on Amazon suck. I've bought three of them and they've all crapped out after a month or two.

I actually need one of these and had been looking into them. But for all brands I see some reviews on AMZN about it sending power to to the USB port when the monitor is not in use and damaging the port. Any validity to such claims? I don't know enough about the technology to asses.
