Just a heads up, if you abuse buying discounted phones from AT&T then immediately canceling service too often, then you will eventually be banned from activating service anymore.

Believe it or not, that type of gaming is tracked and no one will be able to fix that for you.

Not a single F given lol, there are so many networks and plans in today's day and age it doesn't even matter. Hell, I'll even get Textnow for free and just use wifi before I drop a hundred something dollars a month on AT&T.

It is amazing that people are willing to go through the hassle for a low-budget phone nowadays.

I picked up 5 of these "low budget" phones for free today and it was worth it. 5000 mah battery that'll last around two days without charge. 1080p screen w/ 120 hz screen, Dual sim support.

The bang for buck is amazing compared to how it was a couple years back. These phones aren't the best on the market but they're quality.

You have to talk to loyalty department on phone. You have to absolutely cancel in 3 days or be charged entire month plus any activation fee. ATT Reps are sleezy and try to talk you out of it or confuse you.
I tried chatting just now to cancel and got this:
Sorry, all our agents have clocked out for the day.
Please chat with us during these hours:

Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., CT
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., CT
Closed Sunday
Please come back then and I'll be happy to connect you with an agent.

So to try and cancel tomorrow, I guess I will have to call instead of chat? I think loyalty number is this, correct? 8003310500

It looks like people are just not waiting enough time. I placed my order Friday night. I didnt get any emails until noon on Saturday that included from google to unlock my number and from att to set up a password and a separate email from att to set up a pin.

Bros you have to unlock GV number through Google for $3. Do it through app or website. I'm sure phone processing will fail if you don't and they cancel on you.
Thank you, buddy. Just this this. Appreciated!

Added new line to existing account. Will there be any issues to the account if I canceled the new line?

Key Word: "Too Often"

Most people won't fall under this umbrella, they just regular people looking to upgrade their phones that they've probably be using for years. The majority of people doing this are more than likely not going to do this again anytime soon(atleast with ATT). Also there are so many other networks offering simmilar deals. Verizon for instance is offering the same promotion in store.

Doing something like this once every couple of years, won't get anyone banned.

That being said majority of the people here would never touch ATT service with a 10 ft people especially considering the vast ammount of alternative services that are infinitley cheaper.

Wasnt approved by ATT. A little bit funny cause I got Verizon promo with xbox x and also t-mobile hotspot line. So it seems that ATT has more strict policy. Never had their postpaid service before, so that cant be the reason.

Thanks, to all for the great support. I did the whole purchase on the Best Buy website and opted to have the Phone shipped. I also opted to have a GV Voice ported to ATT. After the BB checkout, I received an Order Confirmation from BB, and an email from ATT to confirm my email - that email just had the last 4 digits of my new ATT account number. I have not received any other email yet (1+hr) from GV or ATT. So, here are some uncertainties that would be helpful to resolve:

1. I never received any email from GV to ask for the $3 to port my number out to ATT
2. I never received any other email from ATT to set up my account - the ATT website is not recognizing the email address for account setup, that I confirmed in response to their email verification request

Anybody in the same boat? What should be the next steps? Appreciate all the help from this community.
Yes, same boat as well. Bestbuy actually called me and said there's a hiccup passing info from their system to AT&T's, and they have a hard time fixing it. Bestbuy store that suppose to ship the phone to me also called, saying they have to cancel or I show up in person to repurchase in store, which I can't as I'm out of town. Called AT&T and they said the new account and port in are pending. However, no phone or service info could be found and it's all Bestbuy issue so they can't do anything about it. It's kind of dead in water at this point.
