There is the link it's the 64gb moto stylus phone and shows price when activating in store. I literally spent a couple minutes on phone with ATT and cancelled and inserted my sons sim and working fine.

Just did a 30 minute charging test. It went from 5%-80% with the included charger.

I chatted with att representative and she asked to call their loyalty department for cancellation. But she gave me online link to cancel the line myself and said calling loyalty department and doing it yourself is same thing.Does anyone did that?

The link does not work, at least for me it didn't work. Tell her to do the cancellation instead for you.

Placed an order of two before 12pm EST. Since no store nearby had them in stock, I did a GV port-in but the expected delivery date is Monday, 3/11!

I have received 3 emails from AT&T. First email asked me to verify my email address, which I did. Second email told me to "finish registration" and third email asked me to set up a passcode. I haven't done either.

I checked the GV numbers at https://www.att.com/portstatus/ [att.com] - it returns the following status for both.

Your transfer is in progress
You're all set. Your former service provider has approved your request to transfer 012.345.6789.
Your transfer will be completed when you activate your AT&T service for the number. If you have a device shipped to you, make sure you activate it once it arrives. Click here to activate.

When exactly does AT&T activate the lines (or account)? Shall I complete the registration and set up the passcode now and cancel them immediately, before even BB ships the devices?

My GV numbers are still active. In fact AT&T even texted the following message to one of the numbers:

Thanks for your order. Managing your new account ending in 1234 is easy. Just a few more steps to finish registering online: register.att.com/...

Sorry for all these questions - I'm sure they have been asked before, but with almost 80 pages, it would take me hours to look for answer page by page.

Thanks!
I'm in the same boat and trying to understand if I have to activate with the link (or) not, also I didn't get any other email from expect the verification email

I suggest activating the account to make a clean cancellation. Once the phone ships you can cancel the account.

Wiki update

== AT Tasks me to set passcode which I can't do without a valid phone number?

If you are being asked passcode for cancelling the account and you don't have one and also you can't set one as the 2 factor phone number is not active going to an ATT store is the best course of action. They can send the code to an email and you can cancel the account there.

I picked up my phone today around 3PM. The guy at the counter gave me a weird smirk. I knew the jig was up but of course he had to give me the phone.

My question is do I have to activate the phone to cancel the line? I set up the ATT account and passcode alright. I was planning on calling in the morning.

The guy at BB asked me if I wanted to have him activate the phone or activate it myself. I thought I read on here BB would charge me $35 to activate it so I said I would do it myself. Did I go about this right?

I got one phone its crazy that people ordered 10. I'm giving this phone to my mom.

Yes I'd do a clean cancellation with ATT to not be hit/dispute surprise charges. You don't need to do anything with the phone.

And for the last part, that's precisely my intention of posting this deal, to be able to use/gift this to someone who needs it.

This is Slickdeals, such altruism will never happen here. People would resell this for one penny rather than give it up to someone else in need.
