Appliances are full of horrible experiences. For one reason or another, bad experiences with appliances piss people off more than most other categories. Perhaps at one time it was justifiable since they used to cost much more, relative to income etc.

Fast forward to 2024, and a $600 appliance continues the Americana tradition of expecting major appliances to last generations, or even outlast our own life!. However, they don't cost multiple paychecks anymore, but we love to hate them, and also love to brag when we have a dishwasher, dryer, or fridge that lasts decades.

Furthermore, appliances are one of those things we forget the most, when they work. Unlike cell phones, computers, etc, which cost so much more and we expect them to become obsolete, consumers are more lenient, when they actually shouldn't be.

How many flagship phones have you owned in the last 10 years? How much out of pocket on spent on them? Now, the same question for a washer/dryer? Exactly...

I've had Samsung appliances for 20 years, and never an issue. My GE fridge? Horrible. Does that mean GE is bad? No.
What a BS post.

People don't 'hate every appliance company' they've just learned to avoid Samsung through the pain and suffering of dealing with crappy broken appliances that ruin your food or clothes, and then you have to get these huge things out of your home.
lol

we're currently talking to samsung about this because the dryer in the house we moved into is one of these pieces of crap and the drum is breaking.....one shirt started on fire because the corner where drum is breaking caused the shirt to stay in place whilst the drum kept moving and friction burned it

yeah, no. betwixt this and their crappy azz refrigerators, eff no to Samsung

Pretty good price. I ordered the brushed black with gold accent model a couple days ago ( washer and dryer), and the total came out to $1100 and change. Looks like the price for those is back up around the $1250 package price.

Purchased this combo (electric dryer) 18 months ago, paid $1300 inclusive of taxes. So far, no issues with whatsoever with either , happy with both.

Only nit-pick complaint is no real buttons, and finding the power touch takes more time than it should. It would've been smart if they single round dial was also power on by other pushing or rotating, but it's not. While SmartThings control is handy, it must first be physically powered on to use remote connection..

Aside from that, they work wonderful, and steam feature on both units is handy

I've had my Samsung Washer and Dryer for over 9 years now. A couple of times, I had to do a reset when it wouldn't cycle anymore but still going strong. And I bought them used (newish and still under warranty) from somebody moving so it's probably just about a decade old now.

I'm looking for a new washer/dryer and this deal is perfect for what you get. Samsung does well with their washers and dryers! Unfortunately I can't partake in this deal, because of where I live. They simply won't deliver large appliances to my zip code (small town on the coast).

Thanks I went with the washer dryer combo. Two year warranty helps ease the concern about Samsung and this line seems to have good reviews
