Sweet deal if they only allowed you to choose which network.

Keep in mind that the Sim must remain in this phone for one year for it to be unlocked.

anyone know if you can just take the sim out of the A35 and put it in another phone....or can it only be used in this phone?.....I would like to use the sim in my S23 and keep the A35 as a backup phone.

update....looks like the A35 has to active for a year on Boost in order to unlock

Do you have to activate right away, or can I wait a month or two to start the 1-year service plan?

I think I'm going to return the a25 that's arriving today back to QVC without even opening it.

More high speed data in a month than the Tracfone gives you in an entire year (plus soft cap and hotspot), and the phone upgrade as well from A25 to A35. Well worth the extra $120, especially if you surf on your phone a lot. Sorry I don't have the answer to your activation delay question.

Answered my own question.

The phone comes pre-activated, so I can't wait to use the rest of my mint plan before starting. That's a cost of about $15ish to me.

edit just checked ebay and $300+ there. i'd be in on this deal if i didn't need facetime. wish they'd do it with a free iphone 12

edit just saw they the iphone 12 deal for $240....never mind that was a year ago

The A35 unlocked is currently going for about $359, list price $399. I would think that a slick price on an unlocked new one would be in the $200-$250 range. The value here is that you get a year unlimited plan to occupy your locked phone for a year, after which it's unlocked. Similar carrier locked A35 offers go for $150-$200.

good deal...even at $200 slickdeal price you're getting 1 year unlimited for about $8/month. too bad they aren't running 1 yr service alone for $150 again.

Boost runs excellent promotions about every 4-6 weeks, although the phones included are usually Samsungs. I think if you bide your time you'll see that $150 unlimited plan pop up again at some point. Maybe you'll get super lucky and they'll package it with an iPhone 12 for $299 or so.

Two points:
- Unlocks in a year, but you won't be able to time your unlock and transfer to avoid needing a thirteenth month of service.
- The sale is good though the 14th, so you can wait a few days and think about it.
