A:. Owner of Boost is Dish. They are trying to create their own network. That will take forever though. In the meanwhile, they are using both At&t and T-Mobile. For online deals, expect to receive a T-Mobile sim.
Q: Is there a trick to receive an At&t sim?
A: Although not likely to work, someone said entering 49619 as the zip code accomplishes this.
https://howardforums.co
Q: If I receive a T-Mobile sim, can I use an already purchased At&t sim and activate the sim using this plan?
A: When ordering, check the box: "I will transfer it (existing number) during activation." Later on, log into your account activate this plan using the At&t sim .
Q: Where would I even get an At&t sim?
A: Not at big retailers like Amazon, Target, Walmart, or Best Buy. They all sell the T-Mobile one. You would need to go to a Boost retail store and asked them if they are willing to give or sell you an At&t sim.. Alternative is ebay. On ebay, search using something like the phrase: "This Will Give You Access To AT&T Network With This Sim Card By Boost Mobile".
Example. ebay item: 384858797184
Q: Should I pick: "Yes. I will transfer it during activation." OR "No. Give me a new number.?
A. Better to always select the the transfer option even if you want a new number as this delays activation. Boost will activate the sim if you select the new number option which means you lose service days while the sim is in transit. Also, should you wish to not use the sim Boost provided and use the At&t sim you acquired, you must use the At&t sim at time of activation. Boost cannot switch networks after activation.
Q: I want to port my number in but I still have a few months left with my other provider. Can I delay activation that long?
A: Because this deal includes a phone, the phone must be activated within 30 days of purchase.
Q: How will by package be delivered?
A: By UPS with no signature required.
Q: I received my sim from Boost. How do I tell if this is a T-Mobile or At&t sim?
A: T-Mobile sims come attached to a white or orange card whose ICCID number starts with 8901240 or 8901260. At&t sims come attached to a black card whose ICCID number starts with 8901410.
Q: I activated a T-Mobile sim but now I want to try the At&t one. Is it possible?
A: As I said before: directly NO. In order to switch networks after activation, you would have to port out, start a new account, port back in, and sign up for whatever plan is available at that moment.
Q: Can I get a new number now and then port in a different number sometime in the future after evaluating the service?
A: No.
Q: Boost sent me a T-Mobile sim as expected, but I did follow the instructions to select "Yes. I will transfer it during activation." when ordering. I also bought a Boost At&t sim. What do I do now?
A. Boost will have sent you via email instructions on how to access the account they created for you. You would need to first log into that account. Once logged in: on the top portion of the webpage, there should be wording that says something like: Your Line is Not Setup with a button nearby to click on to activate the sim. Click on the button and use the At&t sim. After the sim is activated, Boost will then give you the option of getting a new number or porting in your old number.
Q: I am not staying past 1 year. What do I need to do?
A. This deal from Boost actually consists of users buying 6 months at $25 per month and then getting 6 months for free. That should mean for month 13 if the user still has autopay enabled, Boost will charge $25 + tax each month until autopay is disabled. Since accounts with autopay disabled are normally charged $30 a month, I would suggest just leaving autopay enabled until the time comes to port out. Auto-pay settings can be found on their website and within the Boost One app.
If you plan on porting out, start the process at least a week before service ends.
Q: If after year 1, can I downgrade to a different, cheaper plan?
A: Log into your account maybe 10 or 11 months from now and see what options are available. I would suspect NO because the cheaper plans are usually for new users.
Q: I need the phone included in this Boost deal to be unlocked a year from now. How do I make sure my device gets unlocked?
A: Leave autopay enabled and pay the $25 + tax for month 13. Instead of using real money to pay for the 13th month, you could alternatively use any Boost coins that have been earned.
Q: Deal says new users only. How do I get around that?
A: Use an email address never associated with Boost.
Q: I am a active Boost user. Can I just switch to this plan easily?
A: No. You would need to port out and come back in with a new email address and account. Any unused Boost coins would be lost and if you have a Boost-locked phone, the 1 year service requirement to unlock it would be interrupted.
Q: What happens after I use 30gb for the month?
A: Throttle speed is 512kbps. This deal is more suited for those who almost never reach 30gb.
Q: I can get past the email check to place an order.
A: Disable ad-blocker, use a different browser, or go to the cart directly:
https://boostmobile.com/shop/buy/...:FS6Months
Q: What the heck is a Boost Coin?
A: Currency that can be used to pay off your Boost cellular service plan. Coins cannot be used to buy a phone. Five minutes of your time done everyday would yield about $11, $12, maybe $13+ (if you are lucky) a month off your bill. Less coins will be earned if there are glitches in the app. People who purchase this annual plan would not be able to use any of the coins earned until it is time to pay for year 2.
How to earn Boost Coins
1. Launch the Boost One app (log in if needed).
2. Spin wheel to see how many coins you win (99% time wheel lands on 5 coins).
3. Watch 5 video ads that last about 30 seconds each.
4. Set alarm on your phone for 24 hours later because that is earliest you can spin the next day.
5. Done for the day.
Q: What is the 9 month phone upgrade policy?
A: Boost usually allows users whose accounts are over 9 months old to buy one of the discounted subsidized phones you see on their website without purchasing a new line or upgrading their existing plan. Whether the 9 month upgrade rule will apply here is not known as Boost can make changes to their policies anytime they want. We will just have to wait and see.
Q: Is eSim supported on Boost Mobile?
A: eSim works only for newer Apple devices. Android not yet supported but planned for the future.
Q: Since I purchased a phone with the plan, am I required to use the phone a full year?
A: No. However you must activate the phone within 30 days of purchase. After activation is completed, you are free to do whatever you want with the Boost phone. If this account is still active 1 year from now, Boost will unlock the device.
Q: I do not see this deal advertised at Boost. How are people changing phones to add to the 1-year plan.
A: Official sale URL is:
h**ps://www.boostmobile.***/shop/buy/permalink/entry/?planId=DSHPUNL300M12&deviceId=SMA356UBL128&couponCode=HALFOFFONEYEAR&?intcid=HP:AF:Banner:A351/2OFFYEAR
By changing the deviceID, users can order a different phone provided you know the deviceID. Of course, the total pricing will be different depending on the phone. The Moto Edge+ 2023 will be $200 for just the phone. Add $200 to the $150 plan price, you will get $350.

Somebody previously asked Boost about unlocking a phone early since they paid for 1 year of service. Boost subsequently declined that request. No harm asking them again though.
For the $160 price which includes 1 year of service & a phone, the choices are either: the Motorola G Stylus 5G 2023, or the house brand Boost Celero 5G (non plus) 2024 made by Tinno.

What is the renewal price?
What is the renewal price?
I'm guessing it's 6 months + 6 months "free", but I agree that the checkout page is confusing and I, too, would like clarification.
I believe I know the answer, but any chance I can "transfer" a Boost number from another plan to this one? Or do I need to port away and back in? If the latter, what's the easiest and cheapest way to do that?

The link provided by OP from a previous post says so that the sim card that is mailed to you is not automatically become active before it arrives and the service begins and also so you may use an At&t Sim if you wish.
