And what about it sloshing around on the BPA on the inside of the lid? Why do they put so much salt in such things?

There's a slight chance there will be a broken bottle if it might rain on the day of delivery (happened one of my orders), so plan accordingly.

I haven't looked these things up in a long time, but I never heard of any massive change happening where they stopped putting it in the lids. you would think they would catch on by now but who knows.. canning jars brands have offered non-BPA lids for a while. Have they switched out all the toxic plastic hoses used to pump out cheese in mac & cheese kits? I got a $1 and a $0.87 coupon so three jars were $4.01. Not sure what I did but at $1.34 a jar that is a DEAL

No luck for me with this order. Placed an order, but it was apparently damaged badly in shipping and was returned to Amazon by the shipper without ever making it to my house. I contacted Amazon to get a replacement order as soon as I saw info in the Tracking details showing the damage, but the Amazon rep said they can't send a replacement order. The best they were willing to offer was for me to submit a new order and they would give a promotional credit for the price difference. Since the whole thing took over 30 minutes via chat and I had to leave and did not want a promotional credit, I declined the offer. I will try again.
