This is a great price for a great stand, if anyone is on the fence, buy it! The only thing I really didn't like about this stand is if you want to store guitars along the wall, you have to pull this out of ways otherwise the headstocks of the guitars will actually hit the wall before they hit the yoke. We use ours in the middle of our studio so it's not an issue, but it was when I used to keep them against the wall. Not a big deal.

Looks like standard configuration hold 5 guitars but they're included two expansion packs that let you turn it into a 7 guitar stand. Obviously if you have all acoustics you probably won't fit 7 guitars but I read reviews where people stored even more than 7 on a rack.

True. It actually sits off the wall by at least 3-4 inches depending on the length of the guitar. I have a few basses that I don't put on it because side they make me move the stand so far from the wall.

Wow, this is a great deal. I have a huge problem that I need the SD community's help with. I purchased the smaller version of this, the GS523B for $90 plus 3 expansion holders for $45. $135 total... ouch. This will replace it and be way better, but wtf do I do with this old one I overpaid for? If I hang onto it, I'll just buy more guitars which is not the answer, but do I just sell it on Craigslist for $20 and take the loss?

I can't recommend this enough if you're in a band. It is so easy to fold up. Me and my Bass player can fit all of our guitars on this for practice or a gig, and it folds right up for load in/out. It takes up way less room and looks way better than individual stands on stage.

Keep it, put it the old extensions on the new one, then use the 3 guitar for another room or another place in the same room.

I have some 3 guitar on stage stands that aren't great but workable. This will let me consolidate all my electrics onto one stand then have the on stage stands near my desk so I can quickly put a guitar away without having to head back to the main rack.

I'd probably realistically ask for $50. PM me if you're serious.

Yeah that's a good point. Everything is in the same place today but not crazy to think it'll sprawl once the kids get a little older and I can trust them not to break stuff.

Tempted to buy this for all my guitars I have on stands or leaning on the wall right now... But maybe I should just sell all the guitars on stands or leaning on the wall... 😂

Another happy Hercules stand owner here. Bought my first a few years back and after my guitar collection outgrew it, I bought my 2nd last year. I'll probably need a 3rd in another year or two...but let's not tell that to my wife 😂
