I've had this for the last 5 years and it's been great. Not sure if they changed anything since then, but the only thing that has been annoying for me is the battery tray seal/gasket that keeps getting in the way/crumples when changing the battery.

And this is cheaper than when I bought it Smilie

Had one of these go bad on me. Display and battery holder issues. Replaced with the electronics from the cheap plastic ones and it it's working again!

Nothing fancy, but worlds better than the cheap plastic dial ones. Been using this as my main caliper for a few years and at this price will get a second one to keep in the garage. Batteries do tend to die somewhat fast, but i keep cheap button cells on-hand so it hasn't been an issue. The case that came with mine has a slot to keep spare batteries in.

Are there any recommendations for maybe reputable digital calipers? I'd be willing to spend $10 more for something I know won't give me issues at some point.

Bless you for the insight! I have needed one of these for a while, but there are so many of them out there, and so many differing opinions about what, if any, differences there are in quality among the less than super expensive options. This was super helpful. Getting one now Smilie

I've been using this exact model from this exact product page since 2017 (Amazon tells me). Very frequently, last used yesterday. It's perfectly adequate, very accurate, easy to use. Paid the same dollar amount 7 years ago as it's on sale for now.

I avoided electronic calipers but now I realize that electronic ones do the calculations for us. That is an advantage.
