Bought it on Amazon back in May for $26.21. I like the more streamlined design both on the bottle and the lid than Stanley. 32oz is perfect for use throughout the day with fewer refills. The 40oz is just too big and heavy after you filled the water.

You can get the 40oz at Marshall's or Home Goods for $25. I believe this size is $20 there.

Lupine never went on sale at all - only color that didn't.
I guess now that they will have newer models and colors the Lupine is on sale

No doubt there was a media buzz but I do think Stanley hit on factors that were oddly ignored by bottle makers. In every car I owned the past 15 years the cup holders were always ridiculously tight. A larger drink container never seemed to fit and I had many.

The Hydros (my main brand) had bottles of uniform shape (no tapered bottom). To this day a 40oz, 36 oz and 24 oz wont fir in my cup-holder (center of console).. It seems designed just to hold a small plastic water bottle or small coffee.

When I first saw the Stanley's I was like "Finally someone figured it out." The big handle also helps keep drink steady while jostling around. Getting an X-large coffee in a paper cup would mean burning fingers and tipped coffee.
