It's great if you don't need fast charging. I can't find this product in the MFi database, and it only draws 11W from the outlet when charging my iPhone 14 Pro compared to 16W with MagSafe. I guess it's a Qi charger with magnetic mounting, but not Qi2 or MagSafe certified so it's only capable of 7.5W iPhone charging. It also has quite a significant idle power draw of 0.7W.

I wouldn't normally add this to the conversation since it's more or less obvious but wireless charging has higher charging cost and standby cost and it's not the same across manufacturers. Here's the article from iFixIt for those interested. https://www.ifixit.com/News/94409...onvenience

The Apple magsafe charger was more efficient when charging and when idle with only a 0.2W compared to the 0.6W reported for the Amazon Basics (10Wh over 17 hours of standby) and these energy efficiency losses can add up and may cost you more money over a good brand's Qi charger. I'm sure LISEN is probably as bad as Amazon Basics, they seem like any other fake Chinese brand but get way more posts on SD for some reason.

It's considerably more expensive, but a very similar alternative that's both official MagSafe and has fast charging support is Anker's 3-in-1 Cube [anker.com]. I've had the Anker on my nightstand for the past several months and it's been great, both with an iPhone and a Sony Xperia with a MagSafe sticker stuck on its case.

The electricity draw when idle, how much is that in dollars? I'm genuinely curious. I quickly saw that the average cost per kilowatt hour is 30 cents. Is that accurate? So would 100 days of standby draw of 17 hours per day be 30 cents? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what would cause such a device to consume power when doing nothing.
