Maybe I'm misinterpreting your comment, but I don't understand why you make the strong allegations "*fake* MSRP" and "entirely a lie" and "probably be illegal".

If you order those vegetable shears directly from Fiskars [fiskars.com] the price is $14.99, as correctly shown in the OP's title.

What's "fake"? Where's the "lie"? What's probably "illegal"?

Even allowing for Fiskars putting a high MSRP on some of their products, there are some great deals here. I've owned the 18" D-Handle pruning saw for a couple of years. It's a steal for $9.99, and is $29.98 at Home Depot.

It looks like the shovels and rakes are for store pickup only, but all the other items on sale can be shipped.

I don't so much care about the MSRP. I care about the sale price and whether pricing is a good buy/slick deal in comparison to other options. I'm gonna say these pruning saws for $10 each are slick.

there are deals but do not believe the sites original pricing. Most items are $5 - $10 savings not the dramatic savings they claim

also some items cannot be shipped to some zip codes

Not "high MSRP"....*fake* MSRP. It's entirely a lie, and it'd probably be illegal if enough people had a legal war chest and the better part of a decade to take these disingenuous businesses to court.

I agree with all that, and your post really is a slick deal.

What's bugs me is when some folks post an OP claiming a price discount based on MSRP. For example, you could have accurately (but misleadingly) presented the shears sale price as "67% DISCOUNT!!!", and it's to your credit that you didn't do that.

Can't even post a deal to gardening tools without other kinds of tools arguing about price of gardening tools.

Anyways, some of the prices are pretty favorable for a few tools that I would like to get. Good post. thx!

It's not just California. I live in Michigan and several items could not be shipped to my location. It's either the large items are too expensive to ship, or Fiskars has agreements with some vendors, like Home Depot, to not allow other companies to ship to the areas they have stores.

The only surprise about the MSRP is that anybody pays attention to them anymore. They all have been pretty much irrelevant for years. You have to do your own homework to know if something is a good deal.
