I've got one and love it. Only thing I hate is the lint it builds up around the door seal.
Are you just stating opinion or do you have a source to backup this statement?
If you really want to go on the highly efficient and easy life path, buy a second dishwasher. You'll never have to put away dishes again.

My LG gas dryer (latest version) also has lint buildup on the door seal.

Can somebody who has this unit tell me how far from the back wall you have it sit? The GE unit claims 0" clearance (using 90 degree hoses) but this bestbuy site says you need 4 inches for this LG unit (which would result in the unit sticking out too far for my needs).

I have a similar model from GE. That only needs water in and water out connection. There is no dryer vent, since it is a heat pump. I would imagine that this is the same. So this would depend upon the hoses that you use. I would guess (but can't guarantee) that 2" would be enough.

The prices for these keep tumbling down the Samsung Bespoke and GE prices are going down as well. These machines are very troublesome, extremely heavy and they all leave a lot to be desired with drying. I had the GE version and took it back the next day "Ultrafast" took way more than 2 hours with a normal load. It started off 2 hours on the led screen but 4 hours would go by and it was still drying. I stopped it and clothes were still not dry. Then once it ran for almost 7 hours and was very hot to the touch when I got home. Had it back at the store within 48 hours for a full refund. Decided to go with a regular washer and dryer set and don't regret it.

I hated this design flaw too...not sure why the seal is so loose.

I semi-fixed it by installing some rubber weather stripping around the circular opening of the dryer so the door closes more tightly against the body of the machine. It doesn't solve it 100% but it keeps the lint from flying out.

Yeah these heat pump ductless dryers aren't great. They take a very long time to dry anything. They are more energy efficient, but a traditional dryer that removes the humid air via a duct dries so much faster.

It creates such a bottleneck when doing laundry because it just takes forever to get clothes dry. A friend of mine runs his overnight so the clothes will be dry in the morning, but they end up wrinkly because then they're sitting out

I really wanted to buy one of these new AIO units and have been doing research for nearly a year but the long drying times and lint buildup discouraged me. So I just bought another set of separates since Costco has pretty good deals going on right now. Still was way cheaper than buying this

My sister has the Samsung one and it's a hit or miss. You are lucky if you get 2 loads done per day. I would said wait for 2-3 years for this technology to be improved

These are pretty much AC's attached to a washer/dryer combo. That's why they're so heavy too. Although that means a higher possibility of a broken component, it's most likely the compressor but those don't just die randomly unless you're a linear compressor LG refrigerator.

The Samsung one has a whole OS and it's smarter about pausing between wash/dry cycles just in case you want to pull something out midway. The LG is a bit dumber.

These are new in the US market but not uncommon in Asian and EU markets so the technology should be mature-ish. Condensing dryers are the worst. I'm glad we've moved on from that.

The only downside to an all in one is that the tub size to dry is your wash tub. Usually dryers have a significantly bigger diameter basin. Smaller means it will result in more wrinkles and you can't tightly pack these washers like a standalone. I used to work at a dry cleaner and you'd be surprised how tightly we pack whites into a drum. On these, if there's a fill line, you have to respect that. So more smaller loads but you can leave them running overnight when electricity rates are lower. The washer is less likely to grow mold as you'll dry each cycle.

In an ideal situation, I would buy a combo like this one and keep the old dryer next to it so you have the best of both worlds (throughput or wash-and-forget).

These units are super expensive overseas so take advantage of the strong US dollar when you can!

Edit: I was mistaken. It does not require 220V.

This LG unit requires 220V. The Samsung Bespoke and the GE can be plugged into 110V outlets.
