Very light duty weed whacker, but if you're already in the 40v system and have only small amounts of weed whacking to do, the 2ah battery alone commonly sells around that price. Aftermarket batteries are quite a bit cheaper and/or claim a much higher capacity, but I have no first have experience with them to compare value.

I've got the 60V version and it absolutely tears through grass and weeds on the lower speed setting, the higher speed is overkill. So I would imagine that the 40V version would work just fine for most people's yards.

That's totally dependent on what you can handle but I find this unit to be quite heavy compared to other brands. That being said I have the 4ah battery on mine. And it's a weird angle tbh I'm 6ft
