We use the small one and the Lenovo "Max" clone for video calls to my parents and as photo albums for them. We put in Nest doorbells for them too so it's good for them to have around to hear it when it rings.

I thought the Lenovo was hobbled by an update that basically rendered video calls useless by muting the sound. Did that finally get fixed?

The nice thing with Google is that if they completely abandon a product they give you a full refund and let you you keep the device atleast. Nest stuff wouldn't fall under this category though because they're Def not killing off their smart home business
Why you say that? They already killed off and bricked Nest security which was an awesome system because you didn't have to pay monthly for it.

Slowest Ui you'll ever experience. Swiping and scrolling are slower than any phone built in the last 10 years. It has a bottom barrel mediatek processor and to charge 150+ is an absolute embarrassment on Google's end. To be fair, it's fine as a voice-activating device

Going to have to do better than that to get most people to buy an old, slow and outdated model with who knows how much life left before Google totally and completely abandons it.
Speak for yourself buddy. I'm still using my Google hub from like 2010 I'm definitely contemplating this one. 😜

I have thr original Google hub. Of course I never use the actual interface, because is slow. I'm gonna wait for a new version of this this year! It would be nice to see a new Chromecast as well. I've bough the $20 ONN sticks and been super happy with those, but would love to see Google step it up a bit.
