I was able to get a little cheaper price directly through bose website with a generic $20 off new email coupon code. 259 plus tax (CA) came to 283.61.

Bought the refurb from Bose — I understand it doesn't include the additional year of warranty thru Allstate, but I wanted the "Sandstone" color. Smilie

If anything goes wrong, I should know within a year (usually cosmetic defects, battery or ANC issues) — I'll work w/ Bose to get it replaced within that year

That is a fair statement. I'm also on the fence and back and forth about whether to buy used or recertified.
