Yes, the compromise is a washout (like it's over exposed and lost contrast) from wide viewing angles. I have the 55U8N. It's great. from in front or slight offset angles, the picture is so incredible. Use filmmaker picture mode.
What's the different between 2023 and 2024 models ?
the 2024 gets brighter. Not that the 2023 (u8k) isn't bright, I just got the 75" 2023 model open box from best buy. If the 2024 is that much brighter you could probably watch it in a sunroom without issues, this thing is way brighter than any TV I've ever owned.
What do you all think about comparing (for a 65" screen) the U7N ($850 for 2nd tier, newest gen) and the U8K ($800 for 1st tier, but older gen)? Which would you get?
