The original game was fun, the 2nd was just commercialized hot garbage. Modern games continue to suck more and more, because the primary goal is to extract money, whereas older games that was more of an intentional side effect. The primary goal was creating a fun and engaging experience, not analyzing each step for financial squeezing.
