I use a torch for the black rubber spots. YouTube it. It really works.

This actually dries out the oils in the plastic and makes the problem worse. The improvement is only temporary as the heat is pulling the oils to the surface

This is the dumbest way to "restore" plastics. You're drying them out and they will crack and look worse over time sooner
