Personal opinion but I don't know how people enjoy sitting in front of a fish bowl. Tried some pricy curved monitors and couldn't get used to that viewpoint.
Very dramatic thread. 😅 Monitor is fine, if you are coming from a curve it will be a weird transition of course. I use it as a secondary monitor for work no problems with it. A 1500/1800R curve would be nice though.

This monitor is not good because of the flat. Also it always has a "grid" feeling. This is the only monitor I encounter these issues. I never thought flat is so bad until this. I never seen a monitor giving me grid feeling and even visited a doctor for this.
Not recommend. Even for this price.

Anyone recommend this over using a 4k tv for this price? Built my kids a small racing rig and like how clear the 2k monitor we currently have but it's only 27 inch but hated the older 4k tv we tried it on.

This is not a good monitor simply because there is no curve. It is a bit too long to be a flat screen. If you plan to sit at least 3-4 feet away then it may be usable.

Should be fine for that.
