Sorry, but that's not correct. The Stubs membership (or A-List) only provides free upgrades in sizes (e.g. large drink for the cost of a medium drink). It ends up being a $.50 to $1 discount at most. There are combo packs (small drink & popcorn) you can buy for $5 but some AMCs restrict those to Tuesdays only. Tickets get a significant discount every Tuesday ($7 in my market) and I buy tickets for anyone else going at that same price. This is a decent deal for going on any other day (since Tuesday is the only discount day) and if you don't have access to a wholesale club for discounted tickets.

Hope this clears things up.

This is still a great deal if you have a friend with an AMC membership. They can buy the food with a steep discount, but they don't get a discount on extra tickets.
