Costco has it frequently for 20% off. Not worth it to waste valuable discover points on this. My 2 cents.

I don't have a Costco membership, and even if I did, I'd have to pay for the GCs with out of pocket funds, not rewards. Also, the only GCs I ever see offered at 20% off on Discover are of absolutely no value to me.

I'm legitimately curious to know what you use your Discover point redemptions on.

Perhaps he uses the Discover card points to redeem as statement credit or cashback. In that case, it's "cheaper" to buy from Costco b/c of the maths.
