Thanks for everyone's input. I couldn't decide. Newegg had a good deal on a RTX 3060 with 12gb for $269 after mail in rebate. I used affirm to pay and it gave me a discount on top of that.

I've got a lead on a used 2080 to from fb marketplace for $200. Is this a better deal given it's new and with a warranty? Or would I be leaving fps on the table? Looking at mid settings on 1440p or high on 1080p

This is the normal price... I bought mine almost a year ago close to this. Get a rx 7700 and use affirm on newegg for a nice discount it's a better deal

It depends on whether you know it was never used for mining. If it was, it's a time bomb. the specs are not enough better to lose warranty ans amd is still supporting the 6 series cards.

For that price, you can get a rx 7700 that will do loops around a 3060...Nvidia is better at rt... you don't want to use rt on a 3060.
