Anyone have experience with this specific model in high winds? I'm in need of something that can handle 45 mph gusts (when anchored of course). Maybe more, very occasionally.

I just had a very cheap canopy cover like this collapse on me. Key differences I see that might make this more durable:

1) metal couples; mine only had plastic couples for corners
2) locking pins; mine used a twist in groove that felt quite delicate
3) open A frame; my canopy came down on the corners preventing taller objects from entering easily and possibly capturing a lot more air.

It collapsed during 20mph+ winds last night after withstanding almost 2 months of being out. Metal tubing felt super cheap, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did after a heavy storm last month. But this one posted definitely looks sturdier.

Do you set it up for the parties or do you keep it out year round?

Would the material even last 2years under the UV? Or a skeleton after that time.

Under no circumstance should this be erect and left outdoors year-round. 2 years of hot summers and cold winters and the canopy material will turn to dust at the touch.

Looks similar to the Harbor Freight canopy of the same size and design that I bought last week at the discounted price of $99. It definitely needs to be strapped/held down via cabling, weights, etc as a relatively light wind can cause it to move.

For parties, just get the 10x20 easy ups. Super easy to put up and take down just like normal easy ups. I have an Ozark Trail one from Walmart that is stupid easy to put up.
