Op, don't make the mistake of activating your new phone with an active sim- by transfer or other, you have to buy a plan for it to get unlocked.

Are you planning on using it on Tracfone? If not, go to Walmart and buy a $20.00 90 day Tracfone card. Activate it online at Tracfone.com (don't transfer your current number). Wait 60 days for it to unlock.

If you plan to use it on Tracfone then just activate it with a transfer of your current Trac number and again, it will unlock automatically after 60 days.
