FYI this one has the tempered glass lid which makes it oven safe up to 425°F only. Pretty sure you can find its matching enameled cast iron lid to make it oven safe up to 500°F. Still super good deal on a quality piece of cookware. I already have a Le Creuset wide round 6.75qt but pulled the trigger on this one too so I can cook more things that call for it.

AFAIK all enameled cast iron from Le Creuset are made in France. This QVC product page for the same oven says so too:

Any reason you chose this shape over the more typical vertical walls? The reason I ask is that I have a standard one in 6-6.5 qt ones and am tempted to get this one too.

I have 2 of these and just bought a third to give as a gift. Great price. The Chef's oven's rounded bottom is great for stiring and making soups.

Altough I got the Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven, I am surprised how often I use it, and how versitile it is. From making soup, roasts, bread, stew, ect....

They're not made in China using low wage workers, and they're manufactured to be more chip resistant. 100+ year old manufacturer.
