I wanted to address this up front: There are a lot of wives tales floating around about how Amazon sells counterfeit knives. I spend a lot of time on various knife forums and I have never seen a legit post from someone who I actually believe got a counterfeit knife from Amazon. It's always "I heard about a guy..." or "my cousin got one..." or basically someone repeating an unverified rumor.

I've purchased dozens of knives from Amazon with no issues, and I trust their return policy enough to know I'd get a quick refund if I ever did. So, I buy from whichever online retailer has the best overall price with shipping. As any true slickdealer does.
